StainSmart® - the durable performance feature providing unmatched protection for your carpet against penetrating stains and soil.


StainSmart® provides a three-way defense against unwanted stains:

  1. Stain Repel allows many liquid spills to be blotted and easily removed - before they can penetrate beyond the carpet surface.
  2. Stain Resist chemistry blocks the dye points of nylon fiber, which prevents stains from bonding with the carpet fiber.
  3. Soil Release stops soil and dirt from adhering to the surface of the carpet - and enhances soil removal during regular maintenance.

Milliken-Ontera warrants that carpet treated with StainSmart® will resist soiling and staining during the lifetime* of the carpet. Proper maintenance is vital to the long-term effectiveness of the StainSmart® treatment.


*Lifetime is defined as the period of time that the original purchaser of the carpet chooses to keep the carpet on the floor at the original installation site.
